Residential Support Worker – Children's Homes, Winkfield (Permanent, multiple positions)
Location: Winkfield, Berkshire
Pay: £15.00 – £15.50 per hour
£60 per sleep-in
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week
Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with North Star Children's Homes to recruit Residential Support Workers for their residential children's homes in the Winkfield area of Berkshire, with several positions available.
North Star is a growing residential childcare provider supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and these roles are at the heart of daily life in the homes: consistent, caring adults who help children feel safe and thrive.
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
Provide day-to-day care, structure, and positive role modelling for the children in the home.
Support children with school, activities, life skills, and community time.
Contribute to key working, care plans, risk assessments, and daily records.
Work alongside a close-knit team to keep the home safe, warm, and nurturing.
Work a mixed shift pattern across mornings, afternoons, and full days, with on average one weekend off in three.
About You
You will be a caring and resilient person with:
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or above (essential).
Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in a residential setting.
A calm, patient approach to children who have experienced trauma.
The reliability and teamwork a children's home depends on.
